Raising the Bar
Teens are simply young adults, and at our church, we call this program AYA (Anthem Young Adults).
At Anthem we don’t believe in treating teens like teens, youth, or adolescents. Instead, we raise the bar. If we want our teens to grow into mature adults, then we should treat them as such and expect them to act as such.
Today, there are many “adults” who are simply older children. One of the reasons for that odd phenomenon is because when they were in their teen years they were treated as big kids and weren’t guided to live as mature adults. In other words, the bar was kept low.
Our “young adult” program is aimed at coming alongside teens that they may grow into mature adults who live as love-filled, faith-filled, hope-filled followers of Jesus.
Sunday Morning
On Sunday mornings we invite our teens to enjoy and experience church life the same way that adults do. Teens participate in our worship service and serve in various ministries.
We have teens who help with music, who serve on the A/V team, who help in our children’s Sunday school classes, and who serve on our host team. We invite them to serve so that they may take personal ownership of their faith.

weekly gathering
Our teens meet Sundays from 6-7:30pm for a time of fun, food, and Bible study. We also schedule other events and outings throughout the year that our teens may build good friendships with one another and grow in their faith.
