Life Skills Class
You may have heard of a new educational opportunity called Life Skills. It is a program supported by Christian men and women from all walks of life that are willing to volunteer their time to pass on skills that used to be regularly handed down through the family, but today many people don’t get the opportunity to learn them, or they chose not to try. All skills selected could assist a believer through a crisis or just a bad day.
Our Mission Statement at Life Skills is to arm people with the skills that combat life’s challenges, both big and small, in this seemingly time accelerated society. We strive to live as Jesus lived, with faith in action, hope as our anchor, and love as our foundation of all our interactions.
So, what kind of classes do we teach? Do you know how to plug a tire, correctly sharpen a knife, set a formal dining table, hang a painting, wrap a gift, perform first aid, set goals and track long term projects, tie useful knots or correctly write a letter? If you are unable to do one or more of these tasks, then maybe this is for you.
Classes are small (10-12 people), either gender, aged 10 or above, for people that want to learn. It is a great opportunity for a parent/ youth or spouse bonding. It is an event where questions are welcomed and, best of all, it is free. For additional information, please contact Chuck Jarrell at chuck.jarrell3@gmail.com.
