At Anthem we place a high value on our corporate worship and music is a big part of that. Christians are never more united than when we are singing God's praises: Saying the same thing, at the same time, in the same key, and on the same beat. When we gather together on earth to sing God's praises it is a sneak peek at what life will be like we're all together with God in eternity.

Our praise team is diligent to prepare and practice each week to lead our congregation in song. On Sundays we don't do musical solos because we believe worship is for all of God's people and not just for those who have a musical talent. Our desire is for all to raise their voices together.

The purpose of singing during our worship service is to:

  • Exalt - When we sing to the Lord we glorify Him and pay homage to Him who is our Creator, Savior, and King.
  • Equip - The songs we sing are bible-based and gospel-centered. The lyrics are helpful in teaching and in reminding our congregation of the great truths God has revealed in Scripture.
  • Encourage - One of the the great benefits of corporate worship is that we are edified as we hear other Christians alongside us singing of God's goodness and greatness.
  • Evangelize - When God's people are singing of God's glory people are drawn to God's grace. Corporate worship is a powerful witness to those who have not yet placed their faith in Christ.

On Sundays we don't merely sing songs, but we sing anthems. An anthem is a song of celebration, affection, and loyalty. We don't merely sing at Anthem Church; we anthem. We celebrate God's greatness, proclaim our affection to Him who loved us first, and declare our loyalty to our great King.

But worship is more than singing. God created us for His glory so not only should we sing anthems of God's glory but our lives should be living, breathing anthems of God's glory.  Each day we should live in such a way that our lives are a melody of God's grace and truth.

At Anthem we have chosen to adopt a contemporary musical style. We sing modern praise & worship songs alongside modernized versions of classic hymns.

We have created a Spotify playlist containing the songs we sing on Sunday mornings (as well as others for your listening pleasure. It's FREE. Click here to enjoy our playlist: Anthem Worship Songs

I will bless the LORD at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD. The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together
